It’s hard to really complain about the little things, especially since Google has given us so much over the past few weeks with various updates like the June Pixel Drop and Android 17. Of course, that doesn’t mean that folks won’t be chiming in about various issues, and we’ve already seen a few problems called out over the past couple of weeks.
More problems for Pixel
With that said, it appears that some Pixel owners are now missing calls. And it’s not because they aren’t seeing them, but it’s because Pixel phones aren’t letting legitimate calls through. The complaints come from some voices across the internet, with Android Authority picking up the news and reporting it.
You can check out these posts on Reddit and Google’s own Issue Tracker, but there doesn’t seem to be a distinction between which phones are affected. If you own a Pixel phone, you’ll want to keep an eye out for this particular issue.
While there hasn’t been a direct reason, some are speculating that this problem could be linked to Pixel’s Scam Detection and Call Screening features. If you’re experiencing this, you can always dial back the settings of these features to see whether they help your problems.
Of course, we’re getting mixed reports here as well, with some chiming in that by making adjustments, this tends to fix the issue. While others say that it makes no difference, and that they are still missing calls. With so many moving software parts, there are always bound to be some issues that pop up.
The only thing that we can hope is that Google will step in and get things straightened out. Again, we’ve seen issues like this in the past, and Google mostly manages to figure things out. When it comes to personal devices, I’ve yet to experience this problem. Let us know in the comments if you’ve had this particular issue come up.
As stated before, it does affect a wide range of Pixel phones, so you’ll want to be on the lookout if you think you’ve been missing any calls.
