The RootHide Procursus-based bootstrap for TrollStore-enabled devices picked up a couple of beta updates on Thursday, including v1.2.2 beta and v1.2.3 beta.
Announced via a post shared to social media platform 𝕏 (formerly Twitter), these updates to the RootHide Procursus-based bootstrap introduce several improvements and changes, including the following:
– Fix an issue in all previous versions that may cause rootless-compat updates to fail to apply
– Bypass some jailbreak detections
– Fix an issue where Frida did not work
– Added an option to enable URL schemes
– Cleaned up excessive output logs when installing Deb packages
– Fixed an issue where some jailbreak app plug-ins may not work
– Update the built-in Sileo version
The newer of the two beta updates, version 1.2.3 beta. includes a fix for an issue where the app would crash on non-bootstrapped handsets.
For those unaware, the RootHide Procursus-based bootstrap allows non-jailbroken TrollStore users to enjoy tweak injection in specific applications on their device. Unlike the Serotonin semi-jailbreak, it does not afford users unfettered systemwide tweak injection like a full-fledged jailbreak does.
In essence, this means you can inject jailbreak tweaks directly into apps without a full jailbreak.
Anyone who is already using the RootHide Procursus-based bootstrap is strongly advised to update to the latest version to take full advantage of the latest bug fixes and improvements that come with these updates. The latest build is currently available via the team’s Discord server.
