Python | Numpy matrix.clip()

With the help of Numpy matrix.clip() method, we can select the elements from a matrix by passing a parameter as minimum value and maximum value. Output array having the range in between those parameters and size of a matrix will be same.

Syntax : matrix.clip()

Return : Return a matrix having value in between min and max values.

Example #1 :
In this example we can see that with the help of matrix.clip() method we are able to clip the matrix in between min value and max value.




# import the important module in python
import numpy as np
             
# make a matrix with numpy
gfg = np.matrix('[1, 2, 3, 4; 3, 1, 5, 6]')
             
# applying matrix.clip() method
neveropen = gfg.clip(1, 4)
       
print(neveropen)


Output:

[[1 2 3 4]
 [3 1 4 4]]

Example #2 :




# import the important module in python
import numpy as np
             
# make a matrix with numpy
gfg = np.matrix('[1, 2, 3; 4, 5, 6; 7, 8, 9]')
             
# applying matrix.clip() method
neveropen = gfg.clip(4, 9)
       
print(neveropen)


Output:

[[4 4 4]
 [4 5 6]
 [7 8 9]]
