2025 has been an interesting year for OnePlus. The OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 13R are already some of the best Android smartphones we’ve seen this year, but just when we expected the brand to launch its new foldable, it confirmed that it isn’t planning to release the OnePlus Open 2. And now, after a couple of years’ break, the company has confirmed it is bringing back its ‘T’ series with the new OnePlus 13T.

More features, lower price, what’s not to like?
OnePlus posted a short video on Weibo (via 91Mobiles) talking about a “small-screen powerhouse.” The caption of the video (machine translated) also states that the device will refresh your “understanding of small and strong,” suggesting it will be a compact device with powerful hardware inside. Towards the end, the video showed the box of a new OnePlus device labeled OnePlus 13T, confirming its existence.
The OnePlus ‘T’ series is making a comeback
It’s launching in China first, but a global debut could follow
This isn’t our first time hearing about the OnePlus 13T, though. OnePlus has been rumored to launch this smartphone for a few weeks now, but this is the first time we’ve heard about it directly from the brand. That said, OnePlus has only confirmed the OnePlus 13T’s launch in China for now.
We still don’t know exactly when, but it’s expected to happen sometime this month. A global release remains a question, but considering OnePlus brought both OnePlus 13 devices to global markets, the 13T could also follow suit.
In terms of features and specs, the official video doesn’t reveal much, but previous leaks suggest the OnePlus 13T will pack a 6.3-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate and small bezels on all sides. This would place it directly against compact competitors like the Samsung Galaxy S25 and Google Pixel 9 Pro.
Apart from that, the OnePlus 13T is rumored to feature the same Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset as its pricier siblings, along with a 6,200 mAh battery. The phone will reportedly support the same 80W fast charging as other models. One new thing OnePlus could debut with the 13T is its new customizable button, replacing the alert slider found on other models, but that’s not confirmed yet.
We’ll likely know more in the coming days as we approach launch, but it seems OnePlus is serious about delivering a compact flagship this year.
