The Pixel 9a isn’t official yet, but it’s already being sold in some stores

The Google Pixel 9a might just be one of the most heavily leaked phones of all time. We’ve already seen live hands-on videos,

case brand leaks
, and even full reviews before the phone has been officially announced. And if there was any doubt left that the launch is imminent, the Pixel 9a is already being sold in two different countries — before Google has even unveiled it.

As spotted by GSMArena, the Google Pixel 9a was briefly listed on German retailer Technomarkt’s website before the page was taken down. The listing confirmed the €549 price tag, which had already leaked before, and confirmed that the phone will be available in all the rumored colors: Rose, Violet, Gray, and Black.

The German listing also reaffirmed some of the key Pixel 9a specs we’ve been hearing about, including Gorilla Glass 3 protection, 128GB and 256GB storage options, a 6.3-inch OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, 8GB of RAM, and the Tensor G4 chipset, the same processor found in the rest of the Pixel 9 series.

Meanwhile, the Pixel 9a has also popped up for sale in the UAE, although unofficially. A classifieds website in the region is selling the phone for AED 2,350 (~$640). Since Google doesn’t officially sell phones in the UAE, this seems to be someone who got their hands on a unit early and is reselling it. That said, the retail box in the listing gives us yet another look at the Pixel 9a packaging, which looks identical to the Pixel 9 series.

With reviews and unboxing videos already circulating, the Pixel 9a is shaping up to be one of Google’s most leaked phones in years. While we’ve seen some leaks of the Pixel 10 ahead of its expected release later this year, this Pixel 9a leak fest is on another level. If the leaks are accurate, Google could officially announce the Pixel 9a as soon as tomorrow (March 19), with availability starting March 26, 2025.
