In case you haven’t been paying attention, there’s a new APT-based package manager in town for jailbroken iPhones and iPads, and it’s called Saily.
Saily received a minor update this week that brought the new package manager app up to version 2.1-REL-1644228265, and according to the change log, this update implements the following changes:
– Improved reliability.
– Option to set preferred package depiction.
As you’ll see in the screenshot example below, Saily’s new preferred package depiction selector lets users choose between a number of potentially available depiction formats:
Options include:
- Automatic
- Native
- Web
- Native only
- Web only
- None
While it’s nothing huge, the update is recommended for all existing Saily users given that it makes the user experience more reliable and that it promotes more user-facing configuration.
Saily is completely open source on the project’s GitHub page and works alongside any of your existing package manager app(s). It’s also available as a free download from the BigBoss repository for anyone who isn’t already using it.
Please note that Saily is only intended to support iOS & iPadOS versions 13 and newer.
If you are already using Saily, then you can simply open any package manager on your jailbroken device and refresh your sources to find the update awaiting installation on your handset.
