SentryOne announced that John Sirmon has joined its Product Team as Senior Product Manager. Sirmon comes to SentryOne after nearly two decades with Microsoft, most recently as Senior Program Manager with the Azure Customer Advisory Team. Sirmon will be responsible for product initiatives related to Advanced Analytics, Big Data, and Business Intelligence, both on-premises and in-cloud.
SentryOne has long provided the industry leading solution for monitoring, diagnosing and optimizing SQL Server Analysis Services through its BI Sentry product. The recent release of SentryOne Version 18.1 added enhanced support for SSAS Tabular mode and continued support for Multidimensional mode to identify and address common SSAS performance problems.
“We have known John for years and the technical depth and platform expertise he brings will be a great addition,” said Jason Hall, Vice President of Product. “Much of our SSAS support was based on John’s published works when he was with Microsoft and we are thrilled to have him join our team.”
