Alfiecg_dev shares details on updated Trigon-based jailbreak

Security researcher @alfiecg_dev shared details about an updated untethered iOS 14 jailbreak that utilizes the Trigon deterministic exploit.

According to the details, the updated jailbreak has been much improved over the original showcasing a couple of months ago.

CVE-2025-24203 enables MacDirtyCow-like hacks on newer firmware

MDC0 and dirtyZero apps.MDC0 and dirtyZero apps.

Developers have started utilizing Ian Beer’s CVE-2025-24203 write-up to make apps like MDC0 and dirtyZero that can enable MacDirtyCow-like hacks on firmware as new as iOS & iPadOS 18.3.2.

These apps are each capable of different things, and much of the functionality mimics actual jailbreak tweaks without a jailbreak, using just the kernel exploit to its advantage.

PoC shared for CVE-2023-41992 local privilege escalation

A security researcher has shared a proof of concept for CVE-2023-41992 local privilege escalation, which has a chance of bringing semi-jailbreaks up to iOS 17.0, as well as offering a new installation method for TrollStore.

These are all just ‘maybes’ at this point in time, as there isn’t an exploit based on CVE-2023-41992 just yet. So it will be interesting to see what becomes of it.

Lars Fröder shares full video of presentation at Nullcon Goa 2025

Lars Fröder, the developer behind the Dopamine jailbreak and the TrollStore perma-signing utility has released the full video of his presentation at Nullcon Goa 2025 from back in March.

At the time, we only had access to a single still frame of one of his slides, but with the full video, we can learn a lot from the talk and get more context.
