Google’s ‘best smartwatch yet’ just scored a historic discount, weeks before Black Friday

Something is happening over at Amazon. Weeks before Black Friday officially hits, the retailer is already dropping historic discounts on some of our favorite devices, including this deal that slashes a straight 25% off the Google Pixel Watch 5. For a little perspective, that’s the cheapest that the flagship smartwatch has ever been, totally clobbering the discount that we saw during October Big Deal Days earlier this month. Could the price of the smartwatch drop even further when the Black Friday sales begin in earnest? It’s hard to say, but I’m not going to wait to find out.

We called the Pixel Watch 5 ‘Google’s best smartwatch yet’ in our 9/10-star review, and the glowing praise still rings true today. The watch sports a lightweight, stylish build with a domed glass design and a rotating crown for menu navigation. Things are just as impressive under the hood, as the Pixel Watch 5 boasts smooth-as-butter performance from Wear OS 7 and seamless integration with any Google Pixel phone.

Google also loaded the Pixel Watch 5 with up to two days of battery life on a single charge, plus you’ll enjoy some new sensors for comprehensive health and fitness tracking, in addition to cutting-edge features like the new Google Health AI Coach.

Google Pixel Watch 5: what’s the catch?

The Google Pixel Watch 5 is one of those devices that has very few drawbacks, as long as you know what you’re getting into. After all, the unique domed face design isn’t for everyone, and the durable Gorilla Glass construction might be too reflective for some folks.

Like most Google devices, the Pixel Watch 5 also relies heavily on AI-boosted software features, so if you don’t enjoy talking to your wrist, it may not be the smartwatch for you.

This is a sleek, comfortable smartwatch with a ton of cutting-edge software tricks and all the features you’d want in a modern wearable. And with this early Black Friday discount, there’s never been a better time to try the Google Pixel Watch 5 for yourself.
