You can apply advanced icon packs as themes on jailbroken iPhones and iPads, or as Shortcuts on non-jailbroken iPhones and iPads to make your Home Screen more visually attractive, and for that reason, we like to show off exciting new releases every so often.
This week, we are excited to share that Gem Icons, an icon pack by justnewdesigns that has been available for Android users for some time, is now available for iPhones and iPads via the Havoc repository as a theme.
With more than 1,100 icons, Gem Icons provides an exciting set of 3D-style icons that are set against a vibrant and colorful background. The developer describes it as a “charming” theme with “depth” and “playfulness” in the mix.
I am a particularly enthusiastic fan of Gem Icons’ aesthetics, and from looking at it, I can see a lot of time went into meticulously crafting every icon to look its best. Each icon uses a glyph to depict the app it stands for.
I also like the different shades of colors used, as many stock app icons tend to over-use certain colors, including blues.
If you are interested in trying Gem Icons for yourself, then you may buy the icon pack from the Havoc repository for $2.49. You don’t need to be jailbroken to use it, but jailbreakers have access to SnowBoard, which is a lot easier than theming via the Shortcuts app.
