When you attach your iPhone to a power source, be it a wireless charger or a cable connection, it plays a certain sound as positive feedback just to let you know it’s being charged. Some people like this, and some people hate this, but the good news is that jailbreaking gives you options.
With the new NoChargingSound jailbreak tweak by iOS developer CydiaGeek, your device will no longer make these sounds when connecting your iPhone to a power source. Additionally, any vibration or haptic feedback will also be suppressed, making your iPhone’s connection to power a totally silent experience.
While you can also achieve silent charger connectivity by turning the ringer/silent switch to silent, haptic feedback may still apply. Additionally, silent mode also kills all your other notification sounds, which some users may want to keep active while the device charges.
NoChargingSound fixes both the aforementioned concerns by only targeting the iPhone’s charging activities, which leaves all other notifications sounds and vibrations intact.
As noted in the NoChargingSound depiction page, the tweak has no options to configure. Simply installing the tweak is all it takes to put an end to charging sounds and any connected vibrations or haptic feedback. If you ever want to restore that functionality, you need only uninstall the NoChargingSound tweak from your device.
