Thanks to TikTok taking the world by storm, short-form video content is now a behemoth content category across apps. Following TikTok, Instagram came out with Reels, while YouTube introduced Shorts, both content categories that the respective companies continually strive to improve.

Thanks to Shorts being monetized, creators are able to make a living entirely off short-form video content, and with YouTube now introducing a new partnership with Adobe, it’s becoming easier than ever to start experimenting with creating short-form content.

Highlighted by Adobe in a new blog post, it is rolling out a new ‘create for YouTube Shorts space’ within its Premiere mobile app. It’s worth noting that the app is currently only available on iOS. It is, however, in-development for Android, so the upgrades announced today will make their way to all Android users soon too.

This new space is packed with exclusive templates, transitions and effects that make creating and instantly publishing your content to YouTube Shorts intuitive — and frankly, fun!

The new section is a one-stop-shop when it comes to finding tools to produce engaging short-form videos, to tap into trends, and to get tips to grow your audience.

Said tools include exclusive effects, transitions, templates, presets and more, paired with advanced Firefly-powered AI features.

Here’s everything creators will find within the dedicated destination:

  • Exclusive effects, transitions and title presets to make every video pop.
  • Ready-to-use templates with stand-out transitions and effects for polished content.
  • Your own original templates to help inspire others and spark new YouTube trends.
  • An unlimited, multi-track timeline that delivers precision, speed and creative control.
  • Studio-quality voiceover and dialogue with Enhance Speech and perfectly timed AI sound elements created using your own voice with Generative Sound Effects, to make your videos more engaging.
  • Firefly-powered AI features to generate unique assets and elevate your content.
  • An option to share finished videos directly to YouTube Shorts.

The goal here is to give users an easy way to create short-form content from the material in their gallery, and make it even easier to instantly publish the generated content to YouTube.

The new ‘Create for YouTube Shorts’ section is available to try out now. As mentioned earlier, the Adobe Premiere app is currently limited to iOS. Android users can expect to try out the new features once the app lands for them.
