Visible is trying something different, looking to provide its subscribers with a new way to pay and save. The carrier launched its Inner Circle program today in early access, which is like a family plan, but users can join and leave a group without any of the lines being affected.
Once an Inner Circle is created, those in the group will have the ability to pay for the lines that are in the Inner Circle. What makes this even more alluring is that if you have a premium plan with Visible and create an Inner Circle, you’ll also be able to save $5 off each line.
Something new for a select few
Again, this is in early access right now, and judging by how quickly it was able to fill spots, this is something that people have been waiting for. It’s no secret that you’re going to get a better rate by being in a family plan versus having your own single line. However, the drawback is that family plans are bound together, which means branching off with your own line can be harder when it’s time.
The Inner Circle solves this problem, allowing users to join an Inner Circle, get a discount, and accept payment from a party member for their line. The line is still managed by each individual, which is important, making this part distinct from a traditional family plan. As far as requirements for now, an Inner Circle can be created with just two people, and you can have seven people in one group at a time.
While signups for the service were open, they have now closed due to the number of people that have signed up. This is just early access, which means that Visible is testing out this feature for the moment to see if it’s worth pursuing. As far as how you can stay informed about this and other changes, it’s recommended to keep an eye out on the Visible Reddit group.
This is where this program was launched, which means that any updates will also be announced there as well. Naturally, there are a lot of things that need to be ironed out, but this is something that could come to other prepaid carriers if successful. We’ll just have to keep an eye out and see.
