Just a couple of days ago, security researcher Brandon Azad released his voucher_swap exploit for 16K devices (A9[X], A10[X], A11[X]), but the exploit didn’t support 4K devices (A7[X], A8[X]), resulting in some devices being unsupported by the recent updates to the Electra and unc0ver jailbreaks.
On a more positive note, hacking guru tihmstar seems to have a solution. Thursday morning, he Tweeted his version of the voucher_swap exploit, subtly named v1ntex. Astonishingly, the exploit supports 4K devices, whereas Brandon Azad’s exploit did not:

- iPhone 5s
- iPhone 6
- iPhone 6 Plus
- iPod touch 6th generation
- iPad Air
- iPad Air 2
- iPad mini 2
- iPad mini 3
- iPad mini 4

16K devices weren’t initially supported by tihmstar’s v1ntex exploit, but a follow-up Tweet shares that a private fork added 16K device support shortly after release, which means the exploit is just as powerful (if not more-so) as Brandon Azad’s voucher_swap exploit.
Tihmstar hasn’t released the 16K support just yet, noting that it will be “delayed by a few,” but says it’s coming soon. If we’re fortunate, then jailbreak tools will adopt support for tihmstar’s completed v1ntex update soon (Electra already officially supports the 4K version at the time of this writing, and we’ll have more on that soon).
