This tweak adds a Music widget to iOS’ Reachability interface

Earlier in the week, we showed you an add-on for jailbroken handsets called WeatherModule that could add an informative weather display to your Reachability interface via the Carbonite jailbreak tweak. But if you’re not crazy about checking the weather every five minutes, then you were probably wondering what other options might be available to you.

Yet another newly released add-on called MusicModule is now available for free compliments of iOS developer Antique. Just as the name implies, this add-on adds a functional music control widget to your Reachability interface with the help of Carbonite’s existing framework.

As shown in the screenshot example above, Carbonite is designed to be as simple as possible while being easy on the eyes simultaneously. The widget includes controls for playing, pausing, rewinding, and fast-forwarding through your music tracks, and it also displays a small album artwork thumbnail as well as the song’s name and artist.

As you might come to expect, MusicModule works with all your favorite music apps, including Apple Music, Pandora, and Spotify to name a few.

The developer is currently aware of an issue where the music must be started in the music app of your choosing before the widget will operate, and this is something that he aims to fix in a future update. Moreover, said update will include additional features, including a fully-functional song picker and a progress indicator, among other things.

If you’re interested in trying MusicModule, then you can download it for free from the Twickd repository via your preferred package manager. They weak supports jailbroken iOS 12 and 13 devices, and you’ll also need to own Carbonite already, which will be an additional $1.29 purchase if you don’t already have it.

Do you plan to install MusicModule to augment your iPhone’s Reachability interface? Let us know why or why not in the comments section below.
