Nothing has been trying to do things differently from its competitors since its inception. And since it can’t compete with brute power and specifications, the design of its products and accompanying software tend to shoulder most of the load.

And while some would label these features a gimmick, we found that at its core, the Nothing Phone 3 is actually pretty good. It isn’t a powerful beast of a phone that you’d expect from a brand’s flagship, but it’s good enough to handle most people’s daily use.

And while its $799 price reflects that, being able to get it even cheaper is something that allows it to deliver more value. With that said, the Nothing Phone 3 is seeing a substantial discount on Amazon, dropping the price by $160. It’s the lowest price we’ve seen.

Good if you want something different

The look of this phone is something you’re either going to love or hate. Although Nothing’s previous phones were different, the Phone 3 takes things to a different level. If the general aesthetics weren’t enough, there’s also a small display on the rear as well.

While Nothing’s Glyph Matrix seems cool, being able to show off small bits of information, it really isn’t all that useful. And a majority of people seem to like the more subtle Glyph Lights that were on previous phones. Of course, this is going to be subjective.

The hardware will work for most people

When it comes to the hardware, the Phone 3 features a 6.67-inch OLED screen and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chip. This model also features 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. With this combination, the phone can handle anything you can throw at it.

However, if you’re someone that loves to play games, or loves to take photos, we have to remind you that this phone is a great all-rounder and doesn’t really excel in those specific categories. Again, it’s good, but don’t expect greatness. With that said, it comes with a triple camera setup on the rear.

There’s a 50MP main shooter, 50MP ultrawide, and 50MP telephoto. You also get a large 5,150mAh battery with speedy 65W wired charging. There’s wireless charging as well, along with an IP68 rating to protect it from the elements. The software is also a highlight, offering a ton of customization.

The support is pretty good too, with Nothing providing five years of Android upgrades, and seven years of security updates. All in all, not a bad phone to pick up if you want something different. It’s not going to be for everyone, but at the very least it will work for everyday things without any issues.
