The Samsung Galaxy S24 is one of the most popular smartphones on the market, especially for people who want a newer device without breaking the bank on the latest and greatest models from the Korean smartphone giant, especially as the company takes more risks with its upcoming models (Galaxy TriFold for reference). The Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra are all getting the previously-mentioned update. The initial rollout has reportedly started in South Korea with the S24 FE, and a global update rollout is likely to follow soon.

This OTA will also clean up internal storage used by temporary, unnecessary files. The good news is that not only will you gain more storage, but you should also see a small performance boost with the storage increase. Samsung has been introducing more features in recent updates, including AirDrop on its smartphones and adding even more compatibility between Apple’s smartphones and Google’s devices that use QuickShare. However, this addition and compatibility expansion appear to be limited to the Galaxy S26 series to start, so Galaxy S24 owners will have to wait a bit.
