Like the model before it, the Charge 6 is set to be a crowd-pleaser. With tougher build quality, more audio controls, and better connectivity, JBL has given the Charge series a nifty upgrade.
Scoring a top-tier Bluetooth speaker for less is always a win, and Woot’s latest offer makes it easy. The Amazon-owned site has the new JBL Charge 6 marked down 30%, knocking $60 off the regular price.
That brings the price down to just $140 instead of $200, and it comes with a 90-day Woot Limited Warranty for some peace of mind. Both black and blue models are on sale, and this is still the lowest price we’ve seen since its April release, which is a rare early discount for a brand-new speaker.
What’s great about the JBL Charge 6?
The Charge 6 stands out not just for its rugged build but also for its improved sound over the previous model. JBL’s AI Sound Boost tech keeps distortion in check for a clearer, more balanced output. And if you like to tweak your sound, the app gives you a seven-band EQ to dial it in exactly how you want.
The Charge 6 is built for the outdoors, boasting full dust protection and the ability to survive a 30-minute dunk thanks to its IP68 rating. It also comes with a removable strap, making it easy to sling over your shoulder and bring the music along.
The Charge 6 isn’t built to blast sound at full volume for huge parties, as distortion can creep in at max levels. Still, you can boost its output by pairing it with another JBL speaker via Auracast for a fuller, more powerful sound.
The Charge 6 promises to keep the music going for up to 28 hours straight and even pulls double duty as a power bank, so you can juice up your phone or other gear. Furthermore, the speaker supports lossless audio. However, it isn’t backward-compatible with JBL’s older PartyBoost standard.
