When the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro earbuds debuted, it was a pretty big shift from Samsung’s past designs, with the major difference being that the brand added a stalk that would provide better control and enhancements to audio quality.

For the most part, people were happy with the new earbuds, although the design could have been a bit more original. If you were hoping for some big changes for the next generation of earbuds from Samsung, guess again, as new data reveals that Samsung is sticking with the new design for the next round as well.

Something to look forward to

The news comes from Android Authority, using data found in Samsung’s One UI 8.5 update. While there aren’t images of the earbuds, there is a graphic of what could be the Galaxy Buds 4. It could provide subtle clues about what to expect, like a more refined design that trades in hard lines for softer ones.

The news outlet also suggests that the ear tips could be changing with the upcoming release, but it’s really hard to tell with just a single graphic to really understand. While there isn’t a release window, it has been over a year since the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro came out, originally debuting in July 2024.

The more affordable Galaxy Buds 3 FE, which have a more subtle look, just recently made its debut in September 2025. With that said, there’s a pretty good chance we won’t have to wait long to find out about these new earbuds, but we’ll just have to wait and see. While there are fans of the old design, the new one is definitely much easier to use day to day.

Which makes it easy to see why Apple chose to go with the style so many years ago with its own AirPods. Again, there’s no concrete details yet on when the Galaxy Buds 4 could arrive, but perhaps see them released alongside Samsung’s tri-fold phone. Of course, if you’re not into waiting, just pick up the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro because they’re on sale.

Samsung’s Galaxy Buds 3 Pro are the company’s newest flagship earbuds, featuring AI smarts like interpreter mode and voice detection. With 10.5mm dynamic drivers paired with 6.1mm planar drivers, sound quality will be top-notch. But a redesign that resembles Apple’s AirPods is the headlining change here, and Samsung has used this to enable new swipe and pinch gestures for the series.
