However, Ayaneo does share a ton of specifications and images for the Pocket Ace ahead of its release, so let’s go ahead and take a look. When it comes to the core, this handheld is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon G3x Gen 2 chip and has a 6,000mAh battery. This chip has been the go-to for the brand recently, as it offers plenty of power and delivers fantastic results.

When it comes to design, Ayaneo channels a “retro” aesthetic, which has been a theme it’s been channeling for a while now. The Pocket Ace relies on a horizontal orientation, and has a 4.5-inch 3:2 aspect ratio IPS display. The console also has the usual assortment of control inputs, like a D-pad, buttons, analog sticks, and hall effect shoulder and triggers.

Since there are a variety of games out there, the buttons can be mapped to accommodate different consoles and play styles. The handheld also has a set of speakers, start, select, and various other buttons. Like its other consoles, the brand is relying on its AYASpace and AYAHome software.

We haven’t really been fans of the software side of things when it comes to Ayaneo products, but hopefully the brand has made improvements since our last encounter. As far as color choices go, the Ayaneo Pocket Ace will be available in three different colors: White, Black, and a retro motif that appears to take inspiration from the Nintendo Famicom with small hints of burgundy.

There’s no release date or price yet, but you can always follow the brand’s socials or get on its email list to get updates. But if you’re someone that’s been thinking about grabbing a gaming handheld console, this may be the one that’s right up your alley. So stay tuned.
