There are a lot of changes happening at T-Mobile, with perhaps the biggest news of the year being the appointment of a new CEO. T-Mobile’s new chief executive officer, Srini Gopalan, officially stepped into his new role at the start of November, ushering in a new era for the wireless carrier.

Gopalan announced T-Mobile’s new Easy Switch feature at an event in Las Vegas, easing the pain of switching from another carrier, promising that it will now only take 15 minutes to sign up with T-Mobile using the T-Life app. You’ll even get same-day delivery of your new phones, which is impressive.

But it’s not all good news for T-Mobile customers today, as The Mobile Report sheds light on a new change that’s coming, which will impact one of the perks included with your plan (via Android Authority). According to a T-Mobile support page, Apple TV will no longer be free starting in 2026.

We’ve seen streaming services increase their prices over the past few years, and Apple TV is no exception. This change occurred over the summer, with Apple TV going from $10/month to $13/month. It’s a pretty big change for a service that doesn’t pack as many hits as, say, Netflix. However, Apple TV does have a few heavy hitters, while also providing exclusive access to popular sporting events.

So what’s going to happen?

Starting in the new year, those on a T-Mobile plan that includes the Apple TV perk will begin to see a $3/month charge. So you’ll still be able to enjoy the perk, you just won’t get it for free going forward. There’s bound to be some mixed feelings about this change, with some people welcoming the discount, while others being disappointed with having to pay for something that used to be free.

The good news is that you can always remove the perk from your account if you don’t want to pay the $3/month fee. You can do this by heading into your account on the website or T-Life app, and removing the add-on from your account. Just be sure to do it before the start of the new year. Until then, Apple TV will be free to T-Mobile users with a qualifying account.

If you’re not sure whether your account has access to this perk, T-Mobile has a list of supported plans on its website. We’ve also listed it down below:
