Samsung is just a few days away from officially unveiling its 2025 foldable lineup. But the leaks surrounding the devices just don’t stop, with hands-on pictures and videos showing off the slimmer Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 in all their glory. A new leak now details the key specs of the foldables and highlights some notable differences between them.
Samsung Galaxy Unpacked
Samsung’s next-gen foldables — the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 — are almost here. Pre-reserve them today to get a $50 Samsung credit, which you can use on other official cases and accessories when you buy the device.
All the leaks surrounding the Galaxy Z Fold 7 have focused on its thin and light design. Samsung itself has teased the foldable as its lightest and thinnest yet. And the leaked marketing materials, shared by Roland Quandt, confirm the company will heavily lean into this angle for promotion.
The Z Fold 7 will supposedly measure just 8.9mm when folded and 4.2mm when unfolded. It will also purportedly pack a bigger 6.5-inch cover display and an 8-inch inner folding display, and yet, may only weigh 216g.

Internally, the phone will apparently use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, with a 4,400mAh battery supplying power to all the components. Samsung will seemingly offer the phone in 256GB and 512GB storage configurations, with a 1TB option limited to select markets. Similar to the Galaxy S25 Ultra, it will supposedly run a promotional scheme during the pre-order period, offering double the storage space at no extra cost.
Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Flip 7 FE may share a lot in common
The leaked marketing materials also highlight the difference between the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Flip 7 FE. Interestingly, both phones will sport a 4.1-inch cover display and a 6.9-inch folding screen. However, the cheaper FE model will pack a smaller 4,000mAh battery and come in 128GB or 256GB storage options. In comparison, the Z Flip 7 will ship with 256GB base storage, with a higher 512GB option also available.
While the two Flip phones will pack a 50MP primary camera, the Z Fold 7 will house a 200MP shooter. Although not mentioned in the leak, previous reports suggest the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE will sport the same design as the Flip 6. The Flip 7 will feature a significantly slimmer and sleeker design and come in several colors. It may also feature an updated hinge design that almost eliminates the display crease.
