The Sileo Team pushed another update for the Sileo beta preview on Friday, officially bringing the pre-release package manager’s version number up to 0.8b4.
A Tweet shared by the
Sileo Team Friday morning describes everything that’s new in the latest iteration:
Perhaps the most significant new feature in this update is the addition of full-screen screenshot viewing, which will allow jailbreakers to get a closer look at any package they view, which is advantageous for users who want to learn more about what something does before making a large purchase.
A full list of changes in this particular update are listed for
you below:
Sileo 0.8b4
– Tapping on depiction screenshots now reveals a full-screen viewing experience
– Now displays push notifications for updates pertaining to packages in the wish list
– Fixes some bugs related to the interface tint color
– Fixes icon not appearing on non-jailbroken demo version
For those unaware, the package manager’s previous update integrated wish list support, enabling users to save jailbreak tweaks and packages for later:
If you’re jailbroken with Electra, then you can find
and install the latest version of the Sileo beta preview from the default
Electra repository.
Notably, you can also try Sileo even if you aren’t jailbroken…
Side-loadable .ipa files are available here and can be installed with Cydia Impactor from a computer, although third-party web hosting services such as Ignition provide an on-device solution that doesn’t require a computer to install the app.
Please keep in mind that the Sileo package manager is still
in its beta stages, so bugs are to be expected. There’s no official ETA for the
official release.
