The road to the FIFA World Cup 2026 just got a lot more flippin’ exciting. The most watched sporting event in the world is scheduled to kick off on June 11 with Mexico taking on South Africa.

With the tournament now inching closer, some US brands aren’t just sitting on the sidelines. As the official smartphone partner of the tournament, Motorola is building excitement for the kick-off with the launch of its Motorola Razr FIFA World Cup 26 Edition.

This shouldn’t really come as a surprise. This isn’t the first time Motorola has launched special edition versions of its Moto Razr. We saw the special Pantone color of the year edition in 2024, followed by Paris Hilton edition and Swarovski collabs last year.

Now, with the biggest sporting event finally hitting the US, a FIFA World Cup 26 Edition Moto Razr feels like an inevitable goal for the smartphone maker.

Starting today, Thursday, February 12, the special edition device is officially on sale. It is available directly via the tech giant, and through Verizon too.

Verizon is the cheaper option

Those expecting novel changes are out of luck. The special edition device is strictly just a reskin of the 2025’s base Razr, albeit with a completely new color and design.

As seen in the images above, the device rocks a green color, meant to replicate grass on a soccer field. It also sports a gold-etched FIFA 26 logo on the rear glass, complete with exclusive World Cup wallpapers and ringtones.

In the US, the new device is available through Motorola. On the carrier side, Verizon seems to have snagged up exclusive rights. If you’re already a Verizon customer and interested in the special edition Moto Razr, I’d suggest going with the carrier.

If you’re looking to buy the device outright, Motorola has it listed for $699.99, while Verizon has it for $599.99. However, the carrier has an even more attractive deal. It is currently offering the device for free if you sign up for a new line on an Unlimited Welcome, Plus, or Ultimate plan. The discount is applied via monthly bill credits, essentially bringing the device’s monthly cost down to 0. You simply pay for the plan.
