The second-generation Bose SoundLink Flex doesn’t change much from the first iteration, but, in fairness, it’s starting from a strong position. Snapdragon Sound and a new Shortcut button are the main additions, and neither will justify an upgrade. But for anyone who doesn’t own the original, this offers fantastic sound in a slim, sturdy package — and while it’s not cheap, it still doesn’t feel like a bad value.

Bose turns out some of the most popular consumer audio products, and right now it’s delivering a pretty solid deal on one of its portable Bluetooth speakers. Amazon has the Bose SoundLink Flex marked down to $129, which is $20 off its regular price of $149. The SoundLink Flex is available in six different color options at that price. Bose deals don’t tend to stick around very long, however, so grab a SoundLink Flex while the savings are available.

In our Bose SoundLink Flex review we gave the popular Bluetooth speaker an 8.5/10 rating. One of our favorite things about this portable speaker is its sound quality. It delivers big, bold sound for its size, with clear, balanced audio available across its volume range. Bose manages to pack some quality bass into the SoundLink Flex as well, so it’s perfect for parties, indoor gatherings, and just kicking back with some music.

But we also feel the SoundLink Flex is the best portable Bluetooth speaker currently on the market. That’s in large part because of its portability. It’s small enough to hold in your hand or clip onto a bag using the attached utility loop. It has an IP67 waterproof and dustproof rating, so you won’t have to worry about it getting damaged on camping trips, beach days, or if you want to take it with you on a hike.

The speaker’s silicone-wrapped exterior protects it against drops while out and about, and that sport utility loop can attach to bike frames and other gear. In other words, this speaker may have a lot more toughness than a lot of people associate the Bose brand with. The SoundLink Flex’s rugged nature, combined with up to 12 hours of playback between charges and classic Bose audio quality, make this a great portable speaker option for just about anybody.

The Bose SoundLink Flex is usually priced at $149, but while this deal at Amazon lasts you can pick it up for $20 off. That drops its price to $129, which is one of the better prices we’ve seen on this portable Bluetooth speaker.
