We are just over two weeks away from the Samsung Galaxy S26 range’s expected launch, and as such, there isn’t much we don’t already know about the trio of devices Samsung is set to launch.
However, it’s always nice to get more specs ahead of launch. And that’s exactly what we’ve gotten today.
A massive leak has just revealed a number of the most important specifications for all three S26 models (via SamMobile). If they’re accurate, here’s what we might be seeing..
Hardware specs are as expected
It’s no surprise that we’re seeing some top-of-the-line processing power here, and the leak confirms that. All three S26 models are set to use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip in the US, with the S26 and S26 Plus both using the Samsung Exynos 2600 in Europe and other markets. The Ultra will get the Snapdragon chip everywhere, though.
The S26 and Plus both also have 12GB of RAM, and the same storage options of 256GB or 512GB. The lack of a RAM size upgrade isn’t surprising given the state of the market right now, but it’s a very welcome surprise to see the paltry 128GB variant of the lowest model finally given the heave-ho.
The base S26 has gotten a small boost in display size, going up to 6.3-inches. It still rocks a 2340 x 1080 resolution though. The Plus and Ultra models have 6.7 and 6.9-inch displays respectively, both with 3120 x 1440 resolutions. All three have 120Hz refresh rates, AMOLED 2X tech, and Gorilla Armor 2. There’s no word of the privacy display feature though, so it’s currently unknown whether that will come to all three or not.
The batteries measure 4,300mAh, 4,900mAh, and 5,000mAh for the S26, Plus, and Ultra respectively. The S26 and Plus both get a 15W wireless charging rate, while the Ultra gets 25W. In unwelcome news, the S26 suffers a paltry 25W charging rate, something of an insult for a supposed flagship phone. The Plus, at least, gets 45W, while the Ultra gets the big upgrade to 60W.
The camera specs look familiar too
If you’re hoping for paper upgrades to the S-range’s cameras, you aren’t going to find them here. All three phones have very familiar looking cameras that don’t seem, on paper, to have any significant upgrades to speak of.
The Galaxy S26 and S26 Plus both have triple-lens setups around the back, with a 50MP main camera, 10MP telephoto lens, and a 12MP ultra-wide angle lens. You’ll find a 12MP wide angle selfie lens around the front.
As usual, the Ultra is the camera powerhouse, and it has a 200MP wide-angle main lens, a 50MP Periscope telephoto lens with a 5x optical zoom, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and another 10MP telephoto lens with a 3x optical zoom.
It’s much the same as you saw last year, though it’s worth pointing out the Ultra has some small changes to the aperture that may improve performance — but it’s far from any sort of dramatic change you might have hoped for. Smaller phone fans in particular will be disappointed by the Galaxy S26’s meager offerings.
Of course, none of this is confirmed until it’s confirmed, and we only have to wait until February 25 to find out for sure.
