Samsung continues testing One UI 8.5 beta for its flagship Galaxy phones. Besides rolling out the eighth beta build for the Galaxy S25 series and the second beta for the Galaxy Z Fold 7, it has also expanded the program to include its 2024 flagship: the Galaxy S24.
The One UI 8.5 public beta program initially opened in the second week of December 2025 for the Galaxy S25 family. Following its public release on the S26 series in early March, Samsung opened the program to include the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7. Now, it’s extending the beta to more devices, bringing the Galaxy S24 lineup into the fold.
The ZZCD One UI 8.5 beta for the S24 Ultra, S24+, S24, and even the S24 FE is currently live in South Korea, India, and the UK. You can grab it after enrolling in the One UI beta program through the Samsung Members app. Tap the banner, accept the terms and conditions, and wait for a few minutes for the OTA to appear on your phone.
The 4.4GB firmware contains the March 2026 security patch along with a bunch of changes, such as a smarter Bixby experience, Storage share, enhanced Weather widget, and more.
More devices should join the One UI 8.5 beta program
Based on internal firmware spotted on Samsung’s server by @tarunvats33, Samsung should soon also open access to the One UI 8.5 beta program for the Galaxy Z Fold 6.
As for the Galaxy S25, its 893MB ZZCD firmware brings a bunch of bug fixes. The full release notes of the update are as follows:
- Providing a new story type in the gallery (monthly/ quarterly/annual rewind)
- Improved camera quick view thumbnail breakage issue when cloud-exclusive videos are the latest
- Fixed the issue where setting value does not be initialized when the original was restored after changing the save resolution in Studio
- Fixed an error where the original was not restored to the initial value after changing the save resolution in Studio
- Improved flickering when updating real-time notification cards
- Improved the issue where the bubble notification badge does not disappear after checking the received bubble notification
- Fixed an error where the clock shortcut disappears when the screen turns off while running Now Brief
- Improved the error where the date is displayed incorrectly when saving after editing a video with metadata errors

The second One UI 8.5 beta, weighing around 946MB, for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 packs similar changes.
Samsung should roll out the stable One UI 8.5 build for its older flagships in April.
