Samsung’s S25 series was announced on January 22 last year, with the series’ subsequent availability falling on February 7, 2025. This time around, that schedule has already come and gone with no official hardware in sight.
We’ve known for a while now that Samsung was planning to shift the S26 launch slightly later into February, and we now have official confirmation via the tech giant itself, indicating when the wait for the S26 series will end.
Courtesy of the Samsung Gulf X account (via SamMobile), Galaxy Unpacked’s previously-rumored February 25 release date has been all but confirmed. The X account shared a simple giveaway post that doesn’t share much at first. It asks users to predict what will happen at Unpacked, with subsequent contest terms and conditions posted below.
It’s the latter that gives us clear information about Samsung’s Unpacked date.
According to the Terms and Conditions document in the tweet above, Samsung’s giveaway campaign is divided into two distinct phases. There’s a “Teaser (Before Galaxy Unpacked)” phase, and a “During and After Galaxy Unpacked” phase. It’s the different phases that give away the exact Unpacked date.
- Phase 1: Runs from February 2 to February 24.
- Phase 2: Runs from February 25 to April 10.
Considering that the second phase is clearly titled “During and After Galaxy Unpacked,” we expect Unpacked to take place on Wednesday, February 25. That is the same date that was previously leaked.
Considering all other recent leaks, we’re (of course) expecting to see the Galaxy S26 series at the event, complete with new Samsung Galaxy Buds, and the whole event tied together with One UI 8.5.
The Galaxy S26 series is just a little over two weeks away. Are you planning to pre-order a device from the new series? Or are you looking to snag a discounted Galaxy S25 series device? Let us know in the comments below!
