RootHide bootstrap updated to v1.2.1 with fix for Serotonin overheating & more…

It was only just last night that the RootHide development team pushed version 1.2 of its Procursus-based bootstrap for devices running iOS & iPadOS 14.0-17.0 with updated builds of Sileo and Zebra and a plethora of other bug fixes and improvements. But as it would seem, the team wasn’t done.

In another announcement shared to X (formerly Twitter) overnight, the RootHide development team shared another update to the RootHide bootstrap in the form of version 1.2.1 — a smaller update that contains more bug fixes.

– Fixed Home Screen bug and device overheating issues caused by v1.2 when used with Serotonin
– Fixed an issue in v1.2 that may cause Sileo to crash on some devices
– Fixed an issue where code (255) errors occurred when enabling tweaks for some apps

If you’re already a RootHide bootstrap user, then it’s strongly recommended for you to update to the latest version at your earliest convenience so that you can be protected by the latest bug fixes and improvements, which include remedies to overheating when using Serotonin, issues with Sileo, and jailbreak tweaks not working in certain apps.

To install the latest update, all you need to do is visit the project’s GitHub page, download the latest .tipa file, and perma-sign it on your device with the TrollStore utility. This process doesn’t require a computer at all.

New or prospective users should also download and install the latest available version of the RootHide bootstrap at whatever point they decide to give it a try, as it’s important to have the latest bug fixes and improvements from the start.

With the RootHide bootstrap, you’re able to install and use jailbreak tweaks in various apps on your device without a jailbreak, using only the CoreTrust bug exploited by TrollStore. You can further expand jailbreak tweak support to include SpringBoard by installing a “semi-jailbreak” such as Serotonin.

Are you running the latest version of the RootHide bootstrap yet? Be sure to let us know why or why not in the comments section down below.
