numpy.ma.MaskedArray class
is a subclass of ndarray designed to manipulate numerical arrays with missing data. With the help of Numpy MaskedArray.__eq__ operator we can find that which element in an array is equal to the value which is provided in the parameter.
Syntax: numpy.MaskedArray.__eq__
Return: self==value
Example #1 :
In this example we can see that after applying MaskedArray.__eq__(), we get the simple boolean array that can tell us which element in an array is equal that of provided parameter.
# import the important module in python import numpy as np # make an array with numpy gfg = np.ma.array([ 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 , 6 ]) # applying MaskedArray.__eq__() method print (gfg.__eq__( 4 )) |
[False False False True False False]
Example #2:
# import the important module in python import numpy as np # make an array with numpy gfg = np.ma.array([[ 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 , 6 ], [ 6 , 5 , 4 , 3 , 2 , 1 ]]) # applying MaskedArray.__eq__() method print (gfg.__eq__( 4 )) |
[[False False False True False False] [False False True False False False]]
