Launching Google Search earlier in the day today brought over a wave of nostalgia. The page is rarely ever static and boring, thanks to frequent doodles that keep the page fresh and relevant. However, today’s doodle just hits different.

For me, some of my earliest memories of gaming include steering a yellow disc through a maze, and Google just brought that iconic feeling back!

For reference, today marks the 45th anniversary of the classic arcade game PAC-MAN, and Google’s marking that by making a special Halloween edition of the game available to everyone.

Your mission is to guide PAC-MAN through these festive levels, help him chomp all the Dots and dodge the iconic, colorful ghosts: Blinky, Inky, Pinky and Clyde. Pay close attention inside each haunted house, as its design directly reflects the personality of the ghost haunting it.

The doodle features eight levels, including four haunted themed mazes that were designed in partnership with Bandai Namco.

It took me roughly 15 minutes to get through the eight levels with a score of 33120.

A keyboard is highly recommended if you want to navigate through the game with ease on a desktop, though the game is playable with just a mouse too. Similarly, touch controls work seamlessly if you’re playing on a mobile phone.

The doodle will remain available today and tomorrow, so kill time when you take a break from work before the doodle disappears.
