Nugget is a popular SparseRestore exploit-based device customization utility for iPhones and iPads that you can operate on a macOS or Windows-based PC and doesn’t require a jailbreak to use. Still yet, you can use it to enable hacks that behave a lot like jailbreak tweaks, and it works on certain versions of iOS 17 and 18.
In a series of posts shared to social media platform X this month, we learned a lot about developer LeminLimez’ future plans to further enhance the software with new features and capabilities. The developer appears to be working on at least two updates for Nugget – version 5.2, which could launch sometime this week, and version 6, which will be further along in the software’s future.

From what we can gather, Nugget version 5.2 is slated to bring a slew of interesting new features, including being codesigned and notarized on macOS so that users will no longer experience trouble with macOS Gatekeeper. Moreover, Nugget v5.2 will incorporate custom colors, allowing for even more avenues of device customization.

The larger and more comprehensive update, Nugget version 6.0, is expected in the more distant future. It will add even more user-friendly enhancements to include a user interface overhaul to deal with some of the crowding that Nugget is starting to suffer from as updates add more features. New features will include custom operation templates for any domain and Status Bar tweaks, just to name a few.

Being available to both macOS and Windows users without the need for a jailbreak, while also supporting some of the latest versions of iOS mean that Nugget is uniquely equipped to offer entertainment to those who can’t yet jailbreak in the absence of any major developments in the community recently. In fact, hacks like these are very likely the future of device customization if things continue down this path.
Nugget is available for free from the developer’s GitHub page, and with version 5.2 launching sometime this week, it’ll only be a matter of time before users can start taking advantage of some of the aforementioned changes.
Look out for these updates as we report on them or join the project’s Discord server to get real-time updates from the developer.
