Norton is excellent at blocking malware and internet security threats. When I downloaded an archive containing 1,000s of malware samples onto my Windows computer (which included trojans, worms, rootkits, cryptojackers, and more), Norton removed every single sample. Some of those samples were missed by competitor antiviruses, such as Comodo and Malwarebytes.
The web protection — Safe Search — detected and blocked every phishing site I tried to access, including phishing sites that Chrome, Firefox, and Safari let me visit. It also performed far better than the web protection included with most top competitors.
Norton’s mobile security apps for both iOS and Android are also excellent. They include many features that can protect mobile users, such as a malware scanner (Android only), a Wi-Fi network monitor, a password manager (separate app), scam SMS filtering, web protection, and an app advisor (Android only).
