If you’re a chronic Focus mode user on your iPhone or iPad and you don’t enjoy seeing the Focus mode indicator on your Lock Screen every time you use your device, then you might take an interest in a newly released and free jailbreak tweak called NoFocusIndicatorOnLS by iOS developer P2KDev.
As depicted in the before (left) and after (right) screenshot examples above, this tweak can be used to hide the Focus mode indicator from the Lock Screen, keeping it clutter-free just as a minimalist would like it to be.
Without the Focus indicator being front and center on your Lock Screen, there’s no real estate for important things like your missed notifications, the Now Playing widget, and other items that pop up in the same general area.
On the flip side, we also found that hiding the Focus indicator from the Lock Screen makes it easier to forget that you have the feature turned on. If you’re using it in conjunction with automated Focus timers, then that’s not as big of a problem since you know your schedule and when Focus mode will be used, but if you mostly use manual Do Not Disturb mode or Focus modes, then forgetting it on is something you’ll want to be cautious about.
Because of the simplistic nature of this tweak, there aren’t any options to configure. Simply installing it imposes it’s intended effect on the device, while uninstalling it removes the effect.
Those interested in giving the NoFocusIndicatorOnLS tweak a try can download it for free from P2KDev’s personal repository via their favorite package manager app. The tweak supports jailbroken iOS 15 and 16 devices.
Anyone that isn’t already taking advantage of P2KDev’s personal repository can add it their package manager app of choice by using the URL provided below:
