Nexus iOS 16-style Lock Screen tweak adds support for Dopamine & rootless

Just under two months ago, we showed you a jailbreak tweak called Nexus by iOS developer iCraze that mimics an iOS 16-style Lock Screen on older version(s) of iOS.

Now that the Dopamine jailbreak is officially out for A12-A15 devices running iOS 15.0-15.4.1, it’s worth mentioning that Nexus has been updated to support the rootless dynamic that Dopamine runs on.

Nexus brings a plethora of Lock Screen-centric customization options to the table. Just to make a few:

  • Customize the time’s characteristics
  • Customize the date’s characteristics
  • Customize notification characteristics
  • Customize Lock Screen Quick Actions
  • Customize Lock Screen Face ID glyph

Extending beyond the features mentioned above, and the newfangled Dopamine rootless jailbreak support, we can gather from a recent post on /r/jailbreak by the developer that the latest version of Nexus also introduces the following changes and improvements:

– Adds option to stop the configuration menu from opening whilst the device is locked.
– Adds “Save wallpaper” button.
– Adds “Disable translations” option.
– Adds basic support for alternate calendar dates.
– Redesigns configuration menu.
– Fixes issue with Ukrainian translation.
– Fixes issue with localization failing if the current language pack does not exist.
– Fixes disappearing time bug caused by race condition.
– Fixes freeze/safe mode when user installs custom fonts incorrectly.
– Fixes X offsets not applying on iPads when the device is horizontal, with alignment set to Left/Right.
– Reworks landscape detection logic, fixing a bug where the configuration menu may open incorrectly on iPhones/iPods.

If you’re already a Nexus owner, then the latest update is available to you for free. Anyone who doesn’t already own Nexus can acquire it from the Havoc repository for $1.99. A jailbroken device running iOS 14 or 15 is required to run Nexus.
