Google’s upcoming Nest products are designed to keep you informed about what’s happening in and around your home, but Google is having difficulties keeping track of the products themselves.

First, there was a leak about the lineup of its Nest camera and doorbellsthat are likely to have an Oct. 1 release and now the products themselves have been spotted sitting on Home Depot shelves.

A Reddit user first posted about their sighting of third-generation outdoor Nest Cams, as well as a Nest Thermostat and followed up the claim with photographic evidence, as spotted by 9to5Google. The boxes say “with Gemini,” a designation that their predecessors lack.

Google Home is about to expand

Google is set to debut new Google Home devices on Oct. 1. With these Nest devices in at least one store already, it’s likely that the products it introduces will be available immediately.

A leak late last monthshowed that Google is expected to release both a third-generation Nest Cam Indoor and Nest Cam Outdoor that each have 2K resolution, support for zooming by up to 6x, and, of course, Gemini. There is also a new Nest Doorbell with 2K video resolution, the ability to zoom and focus on specific areas, local storage during Wi-Fi outages, and, yes, Gemini.

This Gemini boost is a hopeful signfor those fed up with Google Assistant’s inadequacies. Common complaints include broken lighting controls, connectivity issues, and the assistant frequently failing to understand and execute basic commands.
