The Misaka package manager app, renowned for giving iPhone and iPad users the ability to install hacks and add-ons without a jailbreak by way of the MacDirtyCow (iOS & iPadOS 15.0-16.1.2) and kfd (iOS & iPadOS 16.0-16.6 beta 1) exploits, has received another important update.
Announced in a post to X (formerly Twitter) by project lead developer @straight_tamago, the latest version of Misaka is now version 3.3.2 and appears to incorporate the following changes:
– Fixed an issue with TrollStore Installer Codesign (Zip)
– Added 3072 and 4096 to page_puaf for M1/M2 iPads
– Fixed bug in FSAPI access rights management
– Fixed unknown error bug in StatusbarAPI
If you’re an existing Misaka user, then it’s recommended that you download and install the latest .ipa over your existing installation to ensure that you have the latest bug fixes and improvements.
If you’ve never used Misaka before, then it’s a good idea to start at the latest version currently available at the time that you begin using it. You can acquire the latest version of Misaka from the project’s GitHub page and install it using one of the methods outlined in the tutorials below:
Please note that installing Misaka and using add-ons installed from it does not require a jailbreak, but instead requires that you have a MacDirtyCow or kfd exploit-vulnerable device. You can also install JavaScript-based add-ons on iOS or iPadOS 17. If you’re already jailbroken, then you’re still able to use Misaka.
