The Misaka package manager app received another important update on Wednesday, this time bringing it up to version 3.1.6.
Citing the change log on the project’s GitHub page, it seems that Misaka v3.1.6 brings an emergency bug fix, underscoring the urgency of this particular hot fix.
The developer doesn’t go into detail about what the bug was, but as it’s important to have a stable package manager app and using it to install and manage packages, it goes without saying that all users should utilize the latest version to ensure the best possible user experience.
In a post shared via X (formerly Twitter), developer @straight_tamago also said that a future update would remove the app’s persistent requirement that users update the app before using it. This will allow users to run older Misaka versions, such as when they aren’t ready to update.
If you’re an existing Misaka user, then you can download the latest version of the app from the project’s GitHub page and either perma-sign or sideload the app over your existing installation to begin using it.
