While we report on the latest iPhone hacking and jailbreaking news as it happens throughout the week, we also curate weekly roundups just like this one so that busy individuals can still catch up on everything they might’ve missed throughout the work week.
In today’s roundup, we’ll be recapping everything that happened this past week, spanning Monday, March 20th to Sunday, March 26th. These topics are listed in no specific order, however we will separate important content from everything else for your viewing pleasure.
Important stuff from this week
palen1x-surface for Surface PCs
The palen1x-surface project is a derivative of the palen1x project that allows even Microsoft Surface PC users to jailbreak their A9-A11 chip-equipped iPhones and iPads running iOS or iPadOS 15.0-16.x via palera1n-c like any other Windows PC user using palen1x would have been able to.
This project includes important components that make a Surface PC’s mouse and keyboard respond when booting into palen1x, which is required to complete the jailbreak process.
You can learn more about palen1x-surface in our full news post.
palera1n-c v2.0.0 beta 5 released
The palera1n-c jailbreak tool for A9-A11 chip-equipped devices was updated to version 2.0.0 beta 5 on Wednesday with a long list of improvements for end users.

AltStore v1.6.2 released
The AltStore Team released AltStore v1.6.2 on Wednesday to address an error message lots of users were receiving with respect to Reprovisioning profiles.
The update must be installed manually via AltServer from a Mac or PC, which means you can’t simply install this update over the air using the AltStore app on your device as you can for most other updates.
You can learn more about this important AltStore update and what it fixes in our full news post.
LiNUZE
LiNUZE is a game-changing app for jailbroken iPhones and iPads that will allow users of those handsets to manage non-jailbroken devices over a simple USB connection.
While it can currently query a connected device and kick it in and out of Recovery mode, future updates to this app should allow users to jailbreak connected devices from DFU mode and much more.
You can learn more about LiNUZE and what it hopes to be in our full review post.
Cowabunga v10 released
Cowabunga, the insanely popular all-in-one system customization app for TrollStore and MacDirtyCow devices running iOS & iPadOS 14.0-16.1.2 was updated to version 10 on Thursday.
This update brought with it an extensive list of new features and improvements that give users more ways to personalize their non-jailbroken device.
You can find out more about what’s new in Cowabunga v10 in our full news post.
