Investigate TempDB Like Sherlock Holmes

Last week I premiered my new session “Investigate TempDB Like Sherlock Holmes” at SQL Saturday Exeter. For those of you that weren’t able to be there, I hope that these slides may be of some use in understanding a little more about this mysterious system database, and how to eke out the best performance from it.

Here at SQL Sentry, we’re in the process of creating an exciting new webinar series, in which I’m hoping I will be able to share this content to a wider audience. Over the next few weeks I’m hoping to create a few more posts with more to supplement and explain the concepts in the slide deck below for those of you that were unable to attend.

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all the organisers and volunteers from SQL Saturday Exeter, it was a really great event. I’d also like to thank SQL Sentry for their continued support in helping community events such as this by sponsoring and agreeing for staff such as myself to spend time helping to educate the community.
