It hasn’t been a good stretch for Apple. The iPhones have felt stagnant for years, and iOS 26 isn’t off to the best start.

Apple’s software has fallen behind, and I’m still waiting for Apple Intelligence to add value to the user experience.

More than ever, I’m hearing from long-time Apple users who are fed up, hungry to try something different with their next smartphone. Thankfully, there are plenty of enticing Android options, with something for everyone.

If you’re tired of the same-old iPhone, here are the Android devices I’d recommend checking out.

Motorola Razr 2025

Fun, functional, and inexpensive

If you’re looking for a fun alternative to the iPhone, Motorola has you covered. The Motorola Razr 2025 is a delight to use, and I love the value it provides for under $700.

Carrier deals and regular discounts can score you one for even less, and you’ll love its sleek design.

However, the Razr 2025 is more than just a pretty face. It features a capable Dimensity 7400 chipset and 8GB of RAM, meaning daily tasks will be handled easily.

It won’t be as powerful as your outgoing iPhone, but we often overestimate the performance we need in our smartphones.

If you need a bit more horsepower, the Motorola Razr Ultra is an excellent option. It’s powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite, giving you all the performance you’ll need.

If you’ve seen a commercial for the Pixel 10 series, you know exactly who Google is targeting with its latest flagships.

The company aims to attract disgruntled iPhone users, and the Pixel 10 Pro is the device to do it. The same applies to any of the Pixel 10 devices, but I want to focus on the Pixel 10 Pro.

It features an outstanding build quality and sleek design. Yes, it even looks like an iPhone, but now the iPhone 17 looks like a Pixel, so it’s a back and forth between the companies.

Under the hood, the Pixel 10 Pro is equally impressive, with a Tensor G5 chipset and 16GB of RAM. You get ample performance and plenty of RAM overhead for future features.

The Pixel 10 Pro is ideal for iOS converts because of its software. Material 3 Expressive is well-designed and easy to use.

It provides a smooth user experience, and I love how Google managed to work the design aesthetic throughout the entire system, from menus to media controls.

Material 3 Expressive is the best Android has to offer currently, making the Pixel 10 Pro the friendliest device to switch to.

The Pixel 10 Pro also takes amazing photos, and its low-light photography performance is excellent.

Google got a lot of things right with the Pixel 10, making it a viable alternative if you’re tired of your iPhone.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge

Sleek and stylish

If you’re tempted by the iPhone Air, there’s an Android alternative that’s been out for months. The Galaxy S25 Edge wasn’t an outstanding value on launch, but frequent sales make it hard to pass up.

It’s a remarkably thin device, at just 5.8mm, while still having a larger screen and bigger battery than the iPhone Air.

Samsung also packed the Galaxy S25 Edge with a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and 12GB of RAM, giving you all the performance you could ask for.

The Galaxy S25 Edge ships with One UI 7, and Samsung promises seven years of software support.

It’s a device that’s amazing to hold in the hand and will impress you just as much as Apple’s iPhone Air, for less money.

OnePlus 13

If you want to start at the deep end

The OnePlus 13 isn’t for the faint of heart, but I love it. If you’re looking for a smooth transition from iOS, this isn’t your phone, but if you want to get an authentic Android enthusiast experience, the OnePlus 13 is hard to pass up.

OnePlus packed in everything. The OnePlus 13 is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite and 12 or 16GB of RAM, depending on the variant you choose. It features a fantastic 6.82-inch LTPO AMOLED panel refreshing at 120Hz.

I know curved displays are mostly gone from modern smartphone designs, but I love what OnePlus did with its 2.5D glass on the OnePlus 13, giving the device a gentle taper at the edges of the screen.

It also includes a 6,000mAh silicon-carbon battery, allowing me to get two days of use without needing a recharge.

When it is time to recharge, the OnePlus 13 has blazing 100W wired charging speeds and 50W wireless speeds, making the wireless charging faster on the OnePlus 13 than the wired charging on most other devices.

OxygenOS 15 isn’t nearly as user-friendly as Material 3 Expressive, but it’s better than it used to be. OnePlus also promises four years of software support.

The OnePlus 13 isn’t for novice users, but if you want an excellent Android experience with all the gaming and hardware performance you’ll need, the OnePlus 13 should be on your list.

Don’t be afraid to switch

Switching from iPhone to Android may seem intimidating, but it’s easier than ever. Sure, the ecosystem isn’t as robust, but you’ll have all of your favorite apps on Android.

Apple has been stagnant for years, and its software is not as reliable as it once was. Now is the perfect time to test the waters and try something new.
