The Pixel 9 is Google’s most affordable 2024 flagship, making a few compromises when compared to the Pixel 9 Pro and Pro XL while retaining the Google smarts the lineup has become known for. An upgraded 48MP ultra-wide camera is paired with a 50MP main shooter, and the selfie cam added autofocus. All of this comes with new Gemini AI features and a 2,700-nit Actua display for exceptional value at its price point.
I’ve been using my Pixel 9 since it launched in August of last year, so I’ve been using it daily for close to a year. I can say it is easily my favorite Android phone to date, and I’ve used my share of Android devices working at AP for the last eight years. It’s everything I want in a phone, quite a bargain as the ‘best value’ Pixel, and today Amazon is offering a tremendous deal that knocks $200 off the $799 retail price. That’s a savings of 25%, absolutely nothing to sneeze at, not to mention a sale I wish I could have taken advantage of when I purchased mine.
What’s great about the Google Pixel 9
It’s literally my Goldilocks smartphone
The Pixel 9 isn’t too large or too small; it’s a comfy phone in the hand, one that my thumb can easily stretch across, ensuring one-handed use is a breeze. It’s also a fine device as far as looks go, with a simple design that stays out of the way while looking (not to mention feeling) premium. It both looks sleek and unique; there’s no mistaking it.
The high-framerate 1080 x 2424 screen ensures smooth animations when navigating, and battery life easily gets me through a day and a half before I need to charge again. Themed icons are also fun, matching your wallpaper, which you can set to change daily. It’s the little things like this that really impress me, the extra polish you don’t always get with less expensive devices. After all, the Pixel line is Google’s flagship, and I’m not the only one who questions whether the Pro needs to exist at all. The simple conclusion is that the Google Pixel 9 is a bullseye when it comes to the price-to-performance ratio, and that especially holds true when you can pick one up at a drastic discount.
So, if you’re looking to save big on one of the best Android Phones on the market by shaving $200 off the retail price, one that even impresses us cranky smartphone nerds at Android Police, I can confidently say my Pixel 9 is the best Android Phone I’ve ever used. That’s why I’m here to recommend today’s sale so everyone can experience such a great device. Act fast while supplies last; there’s no telling which color will sell out first.
