The Pixel 9 series was a major milestone for Google. It marked the company’s shift into being a reliable flagship smartphone maker, bringing a brand-new design, dependable software support, and a full suite of useful AI features.

However, it’s now been almost a year since the Pixel 9 arrived. And, now, it’s time for the Pixel 10 series to take the stage.

On Wednesday, July 16, 2025, Google officially confirmed it will host its Made by Google event on August 20, 2025, where the Pixel 10 series is expected to be unveiled.

Here’s how you can watch the Pixel 10 launch event live, including the exact date, time, where to stream it, and what announcements to expect.

Google’s Pixel 10 series launch event will kick off at 1 PM ET (10 AM PT) on August 20, 2025.

Previously, Google used to launch Pixel smartphones after Apple’s iPhone event in September. However, with the Pixel 9, the company moved its timeline to August, and the Pixel 10 is following that same schedule.

While the launch will be held in person, Google will livestream the event for those of us who won’t be attending.

The event kicks off at 1 PM ET in New York, but here’s a list of global time zones so you’ll know exactly when to tune in:

What to expect from Made by Google’s August 2025 keynote

Pixel 10 will lead the show, but there’s more on the table

Google Pixel 9 in hand

As expected, the star of the show will be the new Pixel 10 series.

It’s expected to include the same lineup as the Pixel 9, meaning we’ll likely see the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Google’s third-generation foldable smartphone, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold.

Since Google has already revamped the Pixel’s design language with the Pixel 9 series, the Pixel 10 lineup isn’t expected to get a major visual overhaul, and the design will likely remain similar to last year’s phones.

However, some key upgrades are expected.

Most notably, the baseline Pixel 10 will reportedly (finally) add a telephoto zoom lens, something Pixel users have long requested.

That means the base model is likely to feature a triple-camera setup, which could include a 50MP primary sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide, and a 10.8MP telephoto lens.

In addition, the Pixel 10 is expected to get a larger 4,970 mAh battery (up from 4,700 mAh on the Pixel 9) and slightly faster wired charging at 29W (a minor bump from 27W on the previous gen).

Speaking of battery, the Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL are also expected to ship with larger cells than before. The Pixel 10 Pro XL will reportedly include a 5,200 mAh battery, making it the largest ever in a Pixel phone.

While the camera systems are expected to remain mostly the same as the previous generation, the Pro models may start at higher base storage tiers this time around.

There are also rumors that the Pixel 10 Pro XL could cost $100 more than its predecessor.

As for the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, Google appears to be working on some major upgrades.

Rumors suggest it will feature a larger 6.4-inch cover display, but thanks to an improved hinge, the device will feel just as compact (or even smaller) in the hand.

The foldable is also expected to pack a larger battery and gain an IP68 rating. But the biggest upgrade across the entire Pixel 10 lineup will likely be the Tensor G5 processor.

Google has reportedly partnered with TSMC to manufacture the Tensor G5 for the Pixel 10 series.

The chipset is said to be based on the 3nm process, which should improve efficiency over the Tensor G4, which was made by Samsung.

While this may seem like a minor shift, it could significantly improve both power efficiency and sustained performance.

Apart from the Pixel 10 series, Google is also expected to announce the Pixel Watch 4 at the Made by Google keynote.

The Pixel Watch 4 will reportedly retain the same round design as the Pixel Watch 3 but feature new buttons and even smaller bezels than its predecessor.

More importantly, the Pixel Watch 4 series is said to bring a much-needed strength training upgrade, including Workout Builder and real-time guidance during workouts.

This could finally position the Pixel Watch as a serious option for fitness enthusiasts looking for a dedicated health-tracking device.

To round out the product lineup, there are rumors that Google might unveil the Pixel Buds 2a.

It’s been over four years since the original Pixel Buds A, and it looks like Google is finally ready to upgrade its affordable earbuds.

The Pixel Buds 2a may offer improved ANC, better battery life, and come in four colors.

It’s almost Pixel 10 time

All in all, it’s shaping up to be a jam-packed event from Google, for the second year in a row.

And as with most Google keynotes, you can also expect announcements around Gemini and Android 16 features, including the update that brings Material 3 Expressive to all devices.
