As a part of yesterday’s YouTube app update for iOS, it is now possible to receive a push notification whenever we post a new video on Lazyroar’s YouTube channel.
Each week, we post several videos about jailbreaking, the latest Cydia tips, tricks, tips, reviews, and more. iDB’s YouTube channel is a great source for the latest information on all things Apple, jailbreaking, iOS, and the iPhone and iPad.
With this latest update, it’s even easier to stay up to date with all of our new video content. In this post, we’ll show you how to do just that.
How to enable YouTube notifications
Step 1: Make sure you’re running the latest version YouTube—version 10.28 or higher.
Step 2: Open to our channel page
Step 3: Tap the subscribe button if you haven’t already
Step 4: Tap the bell icon to enable notifications whenever we post a new video
Step 5: If you haven’t enabled notifications for the YouTube app already, you’ll be prompted to go into the app’s settings in order to do so
Step 6: You’ll then see the app’s confirmation pop-up and the iOS notification confirmation pop-up.
Step 7: Once notifications are enabled, tap the bell icon again on our channel page, and you’ll see a notification at the bottom of the screen confirming your choice.
After you enable notifications, you should now receive a push alert whenever we post a new video on our channel. It’s yet another great way to stay up to date with all of the latest news at iDB.
