I love having a 32GB iPhone, because it means that I rarely have to worry about being cramped for space. Back in the days when I used to opt for the iPhone with less storage, I constantly found myself having to manage space.
If you still find yourself in that unfortunate predicament, first of all, I feel for you. Secondly, you should probably consider downloading Uninstall Application Size. This is a recently released jailbreak tweak that will let you know how much space you’ll save when uninstalling any specific app. Have a look inside to see what I mean…
Awkward name aside, Uninstall Application Size is a very handy jailbreak tweak to have at your disposal. When you place your device into wiggle mode and tap the ‘x’ designated for deleting apps, it’ll let you know how much space you’ll recover by proceeding with the app’s deletion. You then have the option of going ahead with the deletion, or backing out.
This is an awesome tweak for quickly checking how much space an app takes up on your device. In my opinion, Apple should provide such statistics by default, but, of course, they never will. Such technical information being provided to the end-user isn’t exactly Apple’s M.O.
The good news is that jailbreakers don’t have to follow Apple’s rules. With that in mind, head over to Cydia’s BigBoss repo and check Uninstall Application Size out today. It’s a free jailbreak tweak, and it’s available on Cydia’s BigBoss repo. Once you give it a shot, let me know what you think about it in the comments section below.
