If you’re a tech enthusiast and a regular Android Police reader, I’m sure you’ve already seen the upcoming Pixel 10 series leaked countless times. If, for some reason, you haven’t, and you’re not calling a rock your humble abode anymore, a new render leak is your source for all the juicy details — at least when it comes to the phone’s design.
The upcoming series, which is expected to retain its predecessor’s pricing, will be unveiled at a Made by Google event on Wednesday, August 20th. So yes, if you’ve been waiting out, and avoiding leaks, the official unveiling isn’t one that’s too far ahead in the future.
On the other hand, if you’re finally ready to catch up, you’re at the right place. Courtesy of credible industry leaker Evan Blass on X (Twitter), we have high-resolution renders of the slab Pixel 10 series (Pixel 10 Pro Fold missing), complete with a few default wallpapers.
Pixel 10
This time around, Google is ready to blur the lines between its base and Pro models, and that’s primarily because of the base Pixel 10 gaining a rear telephoto lens.
Up until now, you could point out a base Pixel from a Pro version simply by looking at its rear. That uniqueness is going away, with the base Pixel 10’s rear camera island donning a look that’s identical to the Pro models.
The device is expected to be available in Obsidian, Indigo, Frost, and Limoncello colorways, as seen in the embedded tweet above.
Pixel 10 Pro
Expected to be available in Obsidian, Porcelain, Moonstone, and Jade (missing in the embedded tweet above) colorways, the Pro device is expected to retain its 6.3-inch LTPO OLED display at 3,000 nits of peak brightness, paired with an ever-so slightly larger 4,870mAh battery (170mAh larger) and faster 29W wired charging.
The Pixel 10 Pro doesn’t appear to offer significant upgrades in the hardware department, with software picking up the slack of delivering a new-gen experience.
Pixel 10 Pro XL
The Pixel 10 Pro’s missing Jade colorway is pictured in the Pixel 10 Pro XL renders, highlighting a sage green look for the device. It, too, is poised to receive a battery upgrade, going from a 5,060mAh cell on the Pixel 9 Pro XL to a 5,200mAh cell.
Charging is expected to receive a bump too, going from 37W wired to 39W wired.
Although Blass’ new leak does not highlight the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, we already know a lot about the upcoming book-style foldable. Google is ready to retire the series’ old favorite colorways, opting to offer the device in only Moonstone and Jade (no Obsidian or Porcelain).
Elsewhere, the device will sport an almost insignificant cover screen size bump, going from 6.3-inches on the Pixel 9 Pro Fold to 6.4 inches on the upcoming device. Other upgrades include IP68 dust and water resistance and a significantly larger 5,015mAh battery (up from 4,650mAh).
