One of the most popular ways for jailbreakers to clean up their Home screen’s aesthetic is by hiding the labels that typically appear just below each app’s icon.
If you’re rocking any of the latest jailbreaks, whether that’s Chimera, Electra, or unc0ver, and you’re interested in doing this to your device, then you might take a liking to a new free jailbreak tweak called HideLabels12 by iOS developer Ryan Nair.
If you haven’t already gathered, HideLabels12 will hide the app icon labels from your Home screen, as depicted in the before and after screenshot examples above.
You’ll notice that the hidden labels give the Home screen a minimalist appeal, especially since the app icons themselves are often all you need to distinguish one app from another.
HideLabels12 stands out from the crowd of other jailbreak
tweaks that achieve the same result because it’s fully-compatible with arm64e
devices and works on the latest firmware versions.
HideLabels12 doesn’t come with any options to configure, and if you’re interested in trying it out, then you can download it for free from the Packix repository in either Cydia or Sileo.
The tweak appears to work just fine on all jailbroken devices running iOS 11 and 12, so rest assured that it should work for you too.
