Samsung’s One UI 7 may have only just finished deploying, but the Korean company is wasting no time in moving on to the next big thing. One UI 8 is on the way, and everyone loves an upgrade.
Unfortunately, not every Samsung phone will get the One UI 8. As ever, some phones have come to the end of their update life, and won’t be upgraded when One UI 8 rolls out.
While we don’t know for sure which phones will get One UI, we have a pretty good idea which ones to expect.
Through a combination of assumptions (recently released phones are likely to be updated, for instance), looking at which phones have received beta access, and which devices rumors say are testing internal builds at Samsung, we’ve put together this list of Samsung devices expected to get One UI 8.
Please be aware that this list is not exhaustive, and neither are most of these devices confirmed to get One UI. While you can be pretty sure your Galaxy S25 Ultra will get One UI 8, it’s not clear exactly when it will.
Plus, until Samsung confirms exactly which phones will get One UI 8, we’re relying on numerous rumors.
We’ve marked next to each entry whether a device has confirmed beta access or is rumored to get beta access later down the line.
If a device received beta access, then it’s likely it’ll get the One UI 8 update. Though, once again, this is not confirmed.
Which Samsung Galaxy S phones will get One UI 8?
The Samsung Galaxy S-range phones remain Samsung’s go-to flagship range, despite the Z Fold phones being the flashier by far. As a result, expect many S-range phones to receive the update to One UI 8.
- Samsung Galaxy S25 (confirmed beta access)
- Samsung Galaxy S25+ (confirmed beta access)
- Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra (confirmed beta access)
- Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge (confirmed beta access)
- Samsung Galaxy S24 (confirmed beta access)

- Samsung Galaxy S23 FE (confirmed beta access)
- Samsung Galaxy S22 (rumored)
- Samsung Galaxy S22+ (rumored)
- Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra (rumored)
- Samsung Galaxy S21 FE (rumored)
It’s expected the Samsung Galaxy S21 range will not get the One UI 8 update, as it has reached the end of its promised number of updates.
The only exception to this is the Galaxy S21 FE, which released on a later version of One UI than its earlier-released stablemates. This assumption is possibly confirmed by the S21 FE having access to the One UI 8 beta.
In exciting news, the S25 range may be getting One UI 8 sooner than expected.
Which Samsung Galaxy Z phones will get One UI 8?
The Galaxy Z-range is Samsung’s most expensive range of phones, largely because it includes the $2,000 Galaxy Z Fold model. If you’re paying that much for a phone, then you’d be annoyed if you didn’t get plenty of software support.
The following phones are either expected to receive the One UI 8 update, or have access to the beta.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7, and Flip 7 FE are not included in this list because they already have a stable version of One UI 8.
Samsung has changed the way it rolls out updates now, and the Z-range will get early releases of new One UI builds before any other smartphones, so expect that trend to continue for years to come.
- Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 (confirmed beta access)
- Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 (confirmed beta access)
- Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 (confirmed beta access)
- Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 (confirmed beta access)
- Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 (rumored)
- Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 (rumored)
For these phones, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 is the newest phone that will not get One UI 8, as it has received the promised four software upgrades.
As always, it’s sad to see a phone put out to pasture in this way, especially when it was priced at $2,000 on launch. Still, Samsung has been making strides in this area, and has been steadily increasing update promises to seven years.
Which Samsung Galaxy A phones will get One UI 8?
The oft-forgotten Galaxy A range is Samsung’s true workhorse, popular with bargain seekers and businesses alike.
The budget-priced Galaxy A1X range is a darling of enterprises, while the Galaxy A7X covers those who want a high-end Samsung-branded mid-range smartphone, while the A5X, A4X, and A3X fill the gaps in between.
It’s a solid range, and we’re extremely happy that Samsung’s seven-year promise has been extended to these phones too.
The following Samsung Galaxy A phones are expected to receive One UI 8.
- Samsung Galaxy A73 (rumored)
- Samsung Galaxy A56 (rumored)
- Samsung Galaxy A55 (confirmed beta access)
- Samsung Galaxy A54 (confirmed beta access)
- Samsung Galaxy A36 (confirmed beta access)

Which Samsung Galaxy M phones will get One UI 8?
The Galaxy M is a range of entry-level and mid-range phones often found in what are referred to as “emerging markets.”
We don’t know as much about which of these devices will get One UI 8, but rumors say at least one Galaxy M phone will get One UI 8.
- Samsung Galaxy M34 (rumored)
Which Samsung Galaxy tablets will get One UI 8?
We won’t forget about Samsung’s Tab range too, as they’ll also be getting One UI 8 eventually.
The following models are expected to get One UI 8.
- Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 (expected)
- Samsung Galaxy Tab S11+ (expected)
- Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra (expected)
- Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 (confirmed beta access)
- Samsung Galaxy Tab S10+ (confirmed beta access)
- Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra (confirmed beta access)
- Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE (confirmed beta access)
- Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 (rumored)
- Samsung Galaxy Tab S9+ (rumored)
- Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra (rumored)
- Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE (rumored)
- Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ (rumored)
- Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro (spotted on Geekbench)
We’ve included the as-of-yet unreleased Tab S11 range because it stands to reason it will be updated to the latest version of One UI if it does not launch with it, like the latest Z-range phones did.
This is going to be an evolving list, and we’ll update it after more news emerges.
