Not everything is going to be perfect with your Pixel 10 when it arrives at your door. Apparently, some folks are experiencing problems with wireless charging, which could affect your experience as well. The Pixel 10 utilizes Qi2, which means new accessories when it comes to protection, charging, mounts, and more.

Unfortunately, that also means that older magnetic and wireless chargers might not work well, which, as mentioned before, happens to be the case. While it’s unclear why this is happening, 9to5Google reports that folks across the internet are chiming in with issues, and there doesn’t appear to be a clear reason why this is all happening.

Buying something new might be the only solution

As far as the types of symptoms being seen, it ranges from slow wireless charging to intermittent charging, to no charging at all. In fact, it appears that someone on Reddit got an answer from Google support, letting them know that the Pixel 10 only supports Qi2 chargers. As you can imagine, this might cause some issues for folks who already have existing wireless chargers.

So if you have the Pixel 10, you might want to give it a go on your current wireless chargers to see what kind of reactions you’ll get. The good news is that if you need to pick up something new, there are plenty of Qi2 chargers on the market already. And with Google making a huge push into the space, there are bound to be more options as time passes.

The important thing to note from this is that everyone is having a slightly different experience, with people chiming in that their particular wireless charger is working fine, while others are saying they can’t get it to work at all. So, you’ll want to test your chargers to see how they react to the Pixel 10. If everything seems fine, then you’re probably good to let it continue as is.

If you’re not seeing the desired results, then it’s probably a good time to pick up a new wireless charger. If you want to be extra safe, we recommend just picking up the official Qi2 chargers from Google, which include a charger and a charger with stand. If the charging issues weren’t enough, you’ll also want to keep an eye out for the free Gemini Pro trial, which some people are having trouble claiming.
