A major focus for Google over the past couple of years has been its AI efforts, led by Gemini, which features prominently across a wide range of the company’s products and services. And while the Gemini logo originally started off more plain, it was eventually made to look more on-brand with a slight color tweak in a recent beta. While it was just a glimpse last time, we’re now getting a more prominent look at the change thanks to a new beta.

A small but noticeable change

The new color swap was spotted by 9to5Google, sharing that the new logo is making an appearance when generating Audio Overviews. The Audio Overviews feature is one of the more exciting ways that Google is flexing its AI muscles, making it easier to get through long blocks of information by making it more entertaining.

Of course, the important part here is that the Gemini logo has a color tweak that introduces the brand’s iconic pallette of blue, red, orange, and green. Although it’s a small change, it’s a welcome one, and we’re probably going to see more and more of it as Google starts making changes to the Gemini icon throughout its entire product lineup.

Naturally, none of this changes how Gemini functions, and it is purely an aesthetic design choice. It’s important to note that 9to5Gogole reports that this change isn’t being seen throughout the entire product line and is only currently available in the beta version of the Google app. If you want to check it out for yourself, you can always try out the beta, which is currently on version 16.25.

You can use a free version of Gemini, but if you really want to deep dive into all the really great features, you’ll need to sign up for a paid plan or purchase a new Pixel which comes with a free year of service. You can also sign up for Google One to get it as part of the bundle as well. Regardless, it’s an exciting time for AI, with access to so many interesting and useful tools.
